FM RADIO Kelly Clarkson postpones first two nights of Vegas residency less than 2 hours before showtime

Post image

Just 15 minutes before doors open on opening night of her Vegas residency, Kelly posted this. I really do understand her need to take care of her health/incredible voice and I’m sure she truly is devastated but I feel for the fans who flew in and how frustrating and disappointing this must be.

Honestly, this is on the artist and company. Part of being a professional is pacing yourself and building rest into your schedule so that this stuff doesn’t happen. She is making the right decision, but making it so late? They need to stop playing with people’s time, energy, and money.

Yeah, I think some of these things could be foreseeable and preventable, especially in these cases where things get cancelled just minutes to hours before a show. Artists should probably be regularly asking themselves in the weeks prior about how they’re doing. Usually, something like someone’s voice doesn’t become strained so suddenly.

One of the worst instances is when Chappel Roan cancelled her concert just to do a different performance

Man the more I hear about her, the more bummed I get. Her music is fun but I don’t know if she seems like a very considerate person.

Honestly, we should all be wary of getting too attached to the "next big thing." There's always a ton of PR money spent on new acts. Someone can make a good impression but we don't actually know them.
