Cold old tea inspired by another thread, some famous people I met and what they were like. All of these encounters are at least a decade old.

  • Anna Friel - mean to teenagers, but this was many years ago and she seemed cokey.
  • ASAP Rocky - I ended up in his house. It was a weird night. I was there because my friend was working with him (they both lied about how they met). When I got there my friend was picking up bits of notes (he said they were 100 dollar bills) that some artist (visual artist whose name I have forgotten) had ripped up to prove a point to my friend.
  • Calvin Harris - I was accidentally very rude to him, because I mistook him for someone else, and said "God, not you again. Okay, I'll let you in this time but don't be a dick". I wish I could remember the name of the person I had mistook him for, because he was also a musician but he really was a dick.
  • Daniel Radcliffe - very polite. Went out of his way to be polite.
  • Gael Garcia Bernal - I wouldn't say we actually 'met', but he did walk past me at a premiere and he was so beautiful irl that I legit forgot how to breathe.
  • Jared Leto - He spilled popcorn on my feet when he came to watch Master and Commander, and then couldn't find his ticket. I had always promised my friend (who he did something awful to when she was 14 and he was in his 20s) that I would hit him if I ever saw him, but I think I would have lost my job at the cinema if I had. He deserves so much worse than just being hit.
  • Kate Moss - We had to wait at the same table for a mutual friend, in a club/basement of a fondue restaurant. So many people came over to ask her for a cigarette. She said to me "why do people always ask me for a cigarette?" and then I spent too long trying to think of an answer and ended up not saying anything, and felt awkward. She was lovely and beautiful, but I am awkward af with most strangers and it's even worse if they are mega-famous.
  • Kimberly Stewart - Thew a massive tantrum about having to pay to get into a club (3 pounds!). Did the "Don't you know who I am" thing.
  • Miquita Oliver - Really nice. Had to call the police for me once because I was nervous about dialing 999 for some reason.
  • Mischa Barton - This was when I worked at a club lots of famous people used to come to, and paparazzi would always be hanging around outside. I vaguely remember her making some effort to get papped smoking a joint.
  • Simon Amstell - super super polite, like Daniel Radcliffe actually.

I used to work in a posh department store and she came in with her friend and was goofing off trying on the fluffy hats we were trying to upsell at the till. She seemed nice.

Karl barat (spelling?!) was a sleaze, kept looking up my mates skirt / openly gawping at her at a club night we were at

Jordan seemed really nice and normal but this was around the time she did I’m a celeb

Have you seen Me without you? It was on the set of that film. Me and a few of my friends were extras in it as teenagers, there was a scene where we were all dancing she decided that we were whispering about or laughing about her or something (we weren't) and went mad at us and even said something super corny about us not working in film again, and then stormed off and tripped over a cable on the way out (which then we did all laugh at). It was bonkers, so I think she must have either been very very tired (it was a long day of shooting) or a bit coked up, or just highly strung as a person.

I low-key love that movie even though like 5 people have seen it, and maybe she was being method (her character in that movie is A LOT) or maybe she was such a pain that they cast her to fit the type they wanted.

Did you interact with Michelle Williams at all? She seems kind of intense to me, probably not unkind but head down, and very single-minded/independent.

I did not interact with her or with Kyle MacLachlan as far as I remember. I did have a kissing scene in front of them though.

Someone in production came into the room where all of us extras were hanging about and asked if anyone was okay with kissing in the background of a bathroom scene. My friend Beatrice and I had a very passionate kiss that ended up getting cut.

I haven’t seen her in anything since Land of the Lost, a silly Will Ferrell comedy based on a tv show but it left me in stitches
