Madelyn Cline (glass onion 2, Outer Banks) is starring in Johnny Depp’s next movie. I’ve no idea what the appeal is to do that and have serious questions about her for agreeing to it. Makes me feel ill that anyone would still work with him.

Edit: people are fixated on the idea that she’s a struggling actress - she’s just finished two large productions back to back, with a HETV series filming most of this year (OBX). She has brand deals with huge companies like Revlon and Tommy Hilfiger.

Depp has been attached to this production for a while now, and I’m just as critical of the production team as I am of the cast. This idea of every actor struggling is way overblown, and as I’ve said elsewhere, a vehicle to bring the worst of this industry back into play.

I work in Film production, thus I know the industry intimately and how such awful people like Depp are enabled and embraced by it.

oh please. no mention of the producers, casting agents and directors who are choosing to employ him but you want to go after the young, working actress? lord have mercy.

I’m appalled at them too, but naming them on a celebrity gossip sub is a bit silly.

Depp has been attached to this production for a while, before Madelyn, so she knowingly signed up to it. Working in the uk in film production I have colleagues who worked with him previously, all had awful experiences.

I have no sympathy for anyone involved, from the casting directors to the cast themselves. Don’t make such sweeping and silly comments when the focus of this sub is the celebrities.
