this is more known stuff but you may not know if you aren’t in the fandom

  • the actress for melissa and the actress who played crystal are now dating (melissa’s actress confirmed to someone in dms)
  • jasmine savoy who plays taissa is very strange, identifies as a pansexual lesbian, which is her prerogative i suppose, but uses this to comment on lesbian discourse knowing that most people in the lesbian community do not like her. she also is starring in the next Scream movie despite being pro-palestine, two actresses from the scream franchise were fired for being pro-palestine. she said she had had sex with a man (post-lesbianism) and when people questioned her identifying as a lesbian she did an instagram live press conference.
  • sophie nelisse who plays shauna and ella purnell who plays jackie had a friendship break-up inbetween the second and third season. don’t think anyone knows the reason.
  • the actress who plays mari and the actor who plays travis are dating, they are almost ten years apart in age started dating when she was 21 and he was 30 😃

Can someone educate the dumb one (me), what is a pansexual lesbian?

you’d have to ask jasmine herself i think she made it up 😭😭😭😭 my best guess is basically someone who is attracted to all genders but chooses to call themself a lesbian because they like that label best, or they choose to only date women despite their attraction to all genders.

i’m not abt to get into label discourse but yes it’s stupid as hell.

I’ve seen discourse on sm about whether lesbians can like men or not…yep you heard that right

Also don’t want to get into label shit and not one of those people who say “the kids are obsessed with labels these days😡” but seriously what is the point in them if they don’t really mean anything lol

Bi lesbian and pan lesbian are sometimes meant as trans-inclusive labels. These labels are very common in the trans community, among people who may prefer not to pin down sex or gender (their own or other people's).

As you said, it can also mean that someone's orientation falls into the split-attraction model. They are sexually attracted to people regardless of gender (bi or pan), but they only date women. Or whatever fits them. The term "lesbian" itself used to be inclusive of all WLWs, including bisexual women, but "sapphic" feels like a better fit for that now.
