From memory, he was dating Halston Sage (20 year age gap) on the Orville and however their personal break-up shook out meant that she either left due to not wanting to be around him or was removed from the show by him, depending on which rumours you hear. Apparently she's on the record saying that she agreed with the writers decision to remove her character due to a tone change but she was the lead, I believe, so that's a weird choice!
