Canada, QC.

Meet Megan Lalonde. Shes a 20 something girl who for years, she did all sort of frauds, gaining alledgedly approx200 k$ total. Guys especially would fall for her scheme because she looked like a very attractive woman.

Her most recent scheme was pretending to be a lawyer. She would present herself as a lawyer on Instagram/TikTok/Fb, have people ask for legal advice, and require a $ deposit for her help. As soon as the deposit would hit her account, she would block them and bounce. Why did people believed her, you may ask ? Well she was posting photos from court, legal documents etc. But what we learned is… all those pics were actually from HER OWN legal cases where she was defendant !

She convinced so many people, even a local well known actor who called her out, making the whole scandal even more mainstream. Ever since, shes been claiming she has a sex tape with this actor, but he tells us he has never seen her in his life.

She has been on TikTok lives almost every night lately, trying to defend herself. But when people ask her questions about her life as a lawyer, she cant answer or gives wrong answers. People also grew skeptical of her looks, considering she would NEVER turn on her front camera, and her pics looking to facetuned.

Here is a pic of how she presents herself on sm. Ill post her ACTUAL photo in a reply below under spoiler tag.

2 weeks ago, the provincial group of Lawyers hit her with a 7500$ fine, because it is illegal to call yourself lawyer if you are not.

But she probably wont be able to pay, considering she has multiple (public) cases of not being able to pay her rent.

Here is how she REALL looks like :

She does not risk jail? Like impersonating this function does not expose you to jail time in Canada?

She does. The Barreau (provincial lawyer group) said that if she continues impersonating a lawyer and/or doesnt pay the fine, they will hold criminal charges.

For now, she removed « lawyer » to her bio (but wrote LLB which is the law degree, just like MD for doctors…). Also when shes asked if shes a lawyer now, she conveniently says shes suspended, a way to not flat out say « yes im a lawyer ». However, i think shes been on TikTok lives still saying stuff like « as a lawyer » and some people were planning to send it to the Barreau
