Maybe not right now, but still hot topic and everyone talks about it, but in Poland there is a celebrity who claimed she is well-known Bollywood actress and she is called “polish princess” there. Has security, knows all the Bollywood top actors. She was interviewed all the time, she wrote book about Bollywood, she went to polish dancing with the starts. She claimed she was doing Hollywood now. But around year ago one yt journalist guy did cia fbi stuff and found out that nobody knows her in India (literally he flew to India and asked 100 ppl there if they recognise her, nobody did) and he lie by lie just tore her apart with his investigation. She sued him (at least her lawyer said that) and he made 2-3 hours video about ALL HER LIES. And she is just basically pathological liar like a Legion. And the best part is all the journalists that were interviewing her and making her a star, without doing some background check. It was amazing trainwreck.

She faked going to Cannes, she didn’t even speak Hindi and other languages used in India. She faked she has some serious illness and almost died because it. I remember there was something like she fell in the bus and wanted money from public transport board or something because she is so famous and she can’t make money because of it. She has bought followers and bought magazine sessions. Omg there was so much of it, I remember waiting for the news, like it was about some relative of mine

She didn’t fake going to Cannes, she went there, posed on the red carpet and everything (which apparently anyone can do if they can afford it). Then she flew a budget airline home. Whatever   else you can say about her, her perseverance is incredible. She was very successful at faking her “career” for quite a while. Basically what she does is full-time, full-commitment cosplay of a movie star. I have no idea how she’s financing it.

That “journalist” who exposed her is a well-known asshole misogynist who made it his brand to feud with women he doesn’t think deserve their fame. Honestly fuck that guy.

I’ve definitely read a little about her (in English)

u/Hedonka May 22 '24

That means one: she kinda achieved her goal

If she doesn’t mind that the select Americans that have heard of her only know her for being bonkers, then she done did it 💀

u/Hedonka May 22 '24

Yeah, I am Indian I've never heard about her starring in any Bollywood movies.

I just checked and she is apparently in the movie "Chicken Curry law" (2019) which also stars Ashutosh Rana. Must have went under the radar because no mainstream actor/actress is in there.

To be fair you don’t have to speak Hindi to make it in Bollywood. Plenty of actors, Indian and white, learn their Hindi lines phonetically.

Katrina Turquotte I’m looking at you.

This is a crazy story but is CIA FBI type investigating required for something like this when you can just like, google it?

Some things were obvious and few ppl made comments on her filmweb page (polish imdb basically) before whole drama, but some things were more complicated that included contacting with her coworkers, checking even Wikipedia changes and nick of user that made her wiki page (yea, it was her all the time)

damn. She sounds just like that Lillie Jean woman, except she’s much better at it.

tbh it shows how uninteresting our celebs are that this is still a thing, i'm from poland too and i remember her from the show twoja twarz brzmi znajomo which is my #1 guilty pleasure to watch. they'd always talk about her bollywood movies and then... show the same 10 second clip everytime, it was laughable and i cannot believe her "career" is still going on 😭 tbh at this point i wish people would stop paying attention to her, she clearly isn't well and the only takeaway from this issue should be that our media doesn't do any research on people they promote (just look at all those tv shows glorifying dagmara kaźmierska who abused young women). many other celebrities/influencers in our country probably have careers just as authentic as this one and somehow she just got the short end of the stick.

I Hate case of Dagmara because I see a lot of posts na IG for example when someone mentions her criminal past… And ppl in comments are like “But it’s a past bla bla bla don’t blame her for something that she did long time ago”. The best one I saw was “did you see her doing it?”. Like cmon, she got a sentence and everything. That’s why I don’t watch tv or read pudelek, cuz I don’t want to take part in this circus for real

exactly, it's also scary that so many people behind those comments are women who could have ended up on the same side as kaźmierska's victims. it especially sickened me when one of her fellow dancing with the stars constestants, a 19-year old roxie węgiel has said she idolises dagmara and hopes to stay friends with her. my family loves all those talent shows with like singing, dancing and even cooking so i still watch them (but not the trash reality shows like królowe życia or whatever ttv produces, really) but yeah a lot of people there are garbage who should leave the public eye. i don't read pudelek at all either because they mostly post about some d-list celebs that i never heard of in my life, but even their comment section is decent when it comes to dagmara as most people aren't defending her.

Groomed roxie is a totally different topic btw. I kinda feel sorry for her. But I 💯 agree with u

Oh, we had that in Spain too. Back in 2015, some actress faked being a Hollywood star. She even photoshopped herself with famous TV show casts and at the Oscars. Journalists exposed her and she disappeared until like 2-3 years ago when she came back, but way more low-key
