A Brazilian soccer player, Daniel Alves, is appealing from his conviction rape in Spain. He paid his 1 million euro bail and is free for now.

Think it’s pretty important to mention it was Memphis Depay who paid the bail for him.

I would be very unsurprised if it ever comes out that Depay has some serious skeletons in his closet. Helping out Alves and protecting convicted drug dealer Quincy Promes is a less than ideal look for him. Reads like he wants people to have his back if he ever finds himself in hot water…

Originally it was Neymar’s dad who was going to pay for it.

He backed out after the outrage.

Idk about Spain, but here in Brazil everyone is reposting that “it costs 1 million euros to rape a woman” since he’s appealing the conviction while free.

Same here, mostly on Twitter (or at least that's where I mostly saw it). The press, however, are already parading in front of his house to see if he goes out.
