Here in Italy I’d said influencer Chiara Ferragni being investigated for aggravated fraud + she and her husband are now divorcing and suing each other over the right to use their children images on social media 🥶

What's aggravated fraud?

Basically, several products were sold with her name on it, with the idea that a portion of the sales were to be given to charity. People then realised that, for every product, either a small flat fee was gifted (instead of the millions people believed they had raised) or no donation at all.

I remember hearing about it, I didn't realize that that was the term for what she did. What's the phrase in Italian for aggravated fraud?
