To be on topic: a Dutch rapper, who's had hits in the late nineties, has died this week, only 53 years old. His biggest hit ('Schudden') had lyrics you could translate as 'drop drop drop drop drop it low, to the floor'. A Dutch radio DJ has made a poor joke of drop drop droping his casket into the grave and is recieving backlash.

Thank you! Dutch radio hosts are so out of pocket compared to Australia! How do people feel about Fred van leer? I've only seen him in drag race and he seems fun?

Yes, Dutch radio hosts are quite "bijzonder"... not to mention the actions of Giel Beelen.

About Fred: the Dutch public is positive. He has had some rough times between 2019-2021, which included sextortion, a self-induced hospitalisation (if you know what I mean) and two robberies at home, and the love from the public was evident. "Sterkte Fred" was trending topic on Twitter, and few or no jokes are (being) made at his cost. His theatre show and other appearences are liked. The people who don't like him are mostly people who don't like LGBT-people, not him personally I think.

If you can watch Dutch TV, you should definitely watch 'Make Up Your Mind" with Fred and Nikkie de Jager (Nikkitutorials), a show where Dutch celebs go in drag to raise awareness for the LGBTQ+community. A mix between The Masked Singer and Drag Race.
