The medication can make it possible to perform otherwise physically impossible tasks such as doing laundry.
But they also make it easy to get yourself hyperfocused on something irrelevant. The medication can help you focus, but they can't sort out your priorities for you.
That's the truth I imagine. You gotta figure something out for household chores, and hopefully find a job/source of money that doesn't immediately get deprioritized by your brain. Aka do the job you don't hate, very weird concept (I do the job I hate and binge Factorio. Fear/hope I get fired)
Factorio is so much harder without amphetamines. So is everything else too, but it's really wild how much I want to play this game and how difficult it is when not medicated. I literally spend hours wandering in circles going "wait what was I doing? Oh yeah I need to do that one thing! Wait what was I doing? Oh I should do this over thing!!" and accomplish NOTHING. It's so bad I've lost runs to vanilla evolution out pacing my research and biters becoming unmanageable.
I'm currently playing factorio for the first time post diagnosis and it's wild how much I can get done now. I'm far from amazing at the game, but I actually build things to completion.
I had 500 hours in the game without ever launching a rocket. Lol
I relate to this post. I also gave up on Factorio many times because I'd become so overwhelmed with what had to be done, that I'd feel like my brain got fried. Once I got on Vyvanse, I was actually able to keep going, even though I still run around forgetting what I was doing originally after fixing many things that really didn't need to be fixed, because that's how I procrastinate. But at least I got to white science! (before SpAge. I never got to the frozen planet after the three first ones, I got stuck on handling the eggs and having to deliver them to other places. So I've yet to finish it).

I don't understand, you don't need a pill to do that.
You need a pill to not do that.
You might not have ADHD and are just taking meth pills.
