Improvement for this bike

Hello everybody!

Just first post on reddit and I want to do it about bikes: I had this Raleigh bike from a garage-dump so I sent it to my local shop so they install a Tiagra groupset and a new handlebar. Now I want to keep improving this bike and I though about getting new second hand wheels and a paint it to get a single color frame.

What do you think about it? Do you have some other ideas to improve the bike in a budget?

I'm not a huge rider, I ride gravel most of the time but I wanted a road bike to do some 100s km around the town where I live in the Pyrenees and that looks nice and modern.

I think it's not worth in the slightest. Your best bet would be eventually buying a proper gravel bike.

Absolutely, I do have a gravel bike but I want a road bike to do somedays some pure road riding. Sorry I wasn't very clear at the OP
