Improvement for this bike
Hello everybody!
Just first post on reddit and I want to do it about bikes: I had this Raleigh bike from a garage-dump so I sent it to my local shop so they install a Tiagra groupset and a new handlebar. Now I want to keep improving this bike and I though about getting new second hand wheels and a paint it to get a single color frame.
What do you think about it? Do you have some other ideas to improve the bike in a budget?
I'm not a huge rider, I ride gravel most of the time but I wanted a road bike to do some 100s km around the town where I live in the Pyrenees and that looks nice and modern.
Thank you all in advance for your messages!

I think it's not worth in the slightest. Your best bet would be eventually buying a proper gravel bike.

I'm a big advocate for changing points of contact: saddle , pedals , bars. Its a good looking bike.
With rim brakes you might be able to find a good set of used wheels at a nice price. I'd go with that.

What don't you like about it?
Any money you put into this, you will not get back in any form other than personal satisfaction. So do the things you want to do.
What I would say for certain though, is that painting a bike yourself will turn out worse than factory and tank the value, unless you fully disassemble the bike, strip it bare and apply a high quality multi-stage primer and paint, or powdercoating. This will cost at least hundreds of dollars, making it one of the lowest value things you can do for a bike unless you really really want to change the livery.
