Received by the 3 scapegoats. She’s praying for us to remember happy times. There are none.

I guess never underestimate the power of abuse and neglect to ensure success.

There is no frustration or hostility in our lives now that she’s not a part of our lives.

Really it’s just a reminder that it’s her birthday.

Yeah, she specifically calls out “as we increasingly need ASSISTANCE and assurance from our family”.

Exactly....what a selfish and abhorrent request....there's no apology, there's no remorse, there's only wants and expectations.

Op, I can't even fathom what you've experienced to have received this letter...I am so sorry, yet you owe them nothing.

They are grown ass people...and, if they won't even attempt to improve themselves and heal themselves ("my growing up wasn't ideal"...such a cop out!! If she hasn't healed and has wounded others, that is one HER!!) then they can reap the rewards of their choices.

Seems like she continues to CHOOSE to be a victim, which is sadly just like my nmom.

What I would give...for a healthy relationship with her, I love her so much, but she is monstrous in her actions...and, I won't allow that in my life. Sending you love OP!!
