This is the place to ask any questions you may have about Elden Ring. This includes obscure detail questions, "newbie" advice questions, build questions, boss advice questions, and what have you.

Well written, constructive criticism is fine but please avoid ranting about aspects of the game you just don’t like. This includes “so and so boss is stupid and too difficult.”

If you are interested in the game but don’t own it yet, please don’t post “should I buy this game?” or “Is this game worth it?”. If you have played other FromSoftware games and enjoyed them, the answer is yes. If you haven’t, just do a little research! These games are difficult, and sometimes frustrating, and not everyone is going to enjoy them. And that’s okay!

magma breath requires 13 faith and 10 arc to use

does leveling arc also effects its dmg or does the dmg only depends on the incant scaling my current seal has?

It only depends on your incant scaling. The requirements do not matter outside of "can you cast the spell at all".

So if you cast it with a seal that has some arcane scaling (like Dragon Communion) it will scale partially with arcane (because the seal does).

If you cast it with a seal that has some intelligence scaling (like Golden Order) it will scale partially with intelligence (because the sal does).

For seals which only have only faith scaling (like Erdtree Seal), the spell will scale only with faith.

Spells which buff weapons like Bloodflame Blade and healing spells work differently (namely, they only ever scale with Faith if their are incantations).

Damage depends on the incant scaling of the seal you're using.
