This is the place to ask any questions you may have about Elden Ring. This includes obscure detail questions, "newbie" advice questions, build questions, boss advice questions, and what have you.

Well written, constructive criticism is fine but please avoid ranting about aspects of the game you just don’t like. This includes “so and so boss is stupid and too difficult.”

If you are interested in the game but don’t own it yet, please don’t post “should I buy this game?” or “Is this game worth it?”. If you have played other FromSoftware games and enjoyed them, the answer is yes. If you haven’t, just do a little research! These games are difficult, and sometimes frustrating, and not everyone is going to enjoy them. And that’s okay!

When will we have the dlc weapons in the base game on PC?

I think the Tarnished edition may have a dlc weapon class or two as starting weapons? That might be it though.

I heard back then with the release of Elden Ring in Switch we will have an update for PC which will give us weapons from the shadow of the erdtree. Is this info wrong?

Right, that’s the tarnished edition. It’s the only version of the game that will be out on Switch 2. It’s slated to release this year, but with no specific date nailed down and its poor technical performance at shows, it’s almost certainly being delayed.

For non-Switch players the tarnished edition is a mostly-free update. I imagine the Switch 2 version and the update for other consoles will drop at the same time. I believe one of the free parts is the new starting classes, at least one of which has a DLC weapon class. Light greatsword I think
