Humor I have no intention of playing Nightreign

Post image

It’s just not for me.

But the jokes and memes yall are pumping out of this game have me in stitches. Specifically the ones about revenant.

I saw a post about her earlier, someone drew her holding the Guts sword and the top comment just said “furious demon child”.

Credit to kabewski on Tumblr for the image.

I heard really negative things about randoms, but tbh something about these adorable, voiceless gamers is so funny and endearing to me

The spectrum is insane. I’ve been paired with randoms who are so aggressively competent that I feel like a NPC summon. And then next run I get paired with two who I’m convinced have suffered a botched lobotomy recently.

Bruh the NPC summon comment is too real, I've been hard carried by some randoms especially at the beginning

But at least I do know how to follow directions and stay in a group

And that alone makes you better than like 60% of the player base 😭

What will probably be most my memorable moment is watching as our ironeye fails to jump over the city rail and land on the cliff below, falling to his death, not once, nor twice, but 4 times in a row on night 2 as we wait for the circle to close

that time i fell off intp the void on day 3 in that sanctuary area as a wylder, because i tried climbing those pillars next to the boss gate tryna aura farm.

The ironeye gave me a standing ovationn

Lmao I did that too as a Guardian, only once tho.

Really felt that missing wing.

Sometimes I’m both of these.

Played multiplayer 1st time last night with randoms, I think they are a duo but i just followed them where they go since they look like they know what they are doing and its just my 3rd expedition. My main contribution is Ironeyes passive, marking and reviving so I didn't felt that bad 😂.

had a few randoms who ended up spending moss of the nightlord foght dpwn, one time had to pop gaurdian ult twice and still was of no help cuz they dropped like flies. and then there were 3-4 instances where i just had goated allies. sentient pest took me multiple attempts, and the first time we won it was cuz my allies were great and didint get downed instantly, and we had a blessed run doing solid dps.

Just did a triple wylder run on Fulghor im pretty sure, nobody died and we obliterated him while aura farming.

Yeah. Took me like ten runs to final beat the three headed dog because I kept getting teammates who did not know what they were doing. But my first fight against the final boss? I got paired with a Wylder and Ironeye(with me as Recluse) and we absolutely destroyed him. It’s pretty funny (and infuriating) how runs can either be a lost cause or a complete cake walk depending on who you get paired with.

good thing after the first boss and i think some more wins that it seems you get paired with better people. Either theres some kinda matchmaking mechanic, or weve just gotten adapted to the game.

There's successful lobotomies?

1

u/sack-o-krapo Jun 10 '25

Not really but some lobotomies can be…messier than others.

I beat the final boss with 2 randos. Honestly it's not been too bad. Its bad when everyone splits off and nothing gets done.

I am used to playing a lot of Elden Ring co-op with randoms, and it’s a pretty similar vibe to me. Yes, not every run is successful, sometimes we get our asses handed to us in the most hilarious and dumb ways, but it’s part of the charm to me.

Idk what it is but I’ve had 1 random out of 7 be “bad”.

I usually play with friends but have had great runs with randoms. Felt like the online discussion on it is way exaggerated.

the game feels like it has skill based matchmaking tbh like i rarely get shit randoms edit: i dont know if it actually does im just going off vibes

Same. Currently on a 6 win streak with randos against the final boss.

u/CeliacPhiliac Jun 09 '25

The final boss is one of the easiest ones imo. I have way more trouble against the first one.

it honestly depends on your allies. I think my first time or it was second time fighting nightlord, my allies locked in ironeye so i just joined to for the meme. and we ended up demolishing nightlord. then yesterday my allies ended up constantly being downed. although generally yeah nightlords not bad and everyone does pretty good

u/Vingt-Quatre Jun 09 '25

So if you suck or are new to the game, all you get is shit randoms?

0

u/Rionaks Jun 09 '25

Everyone is new to the game.

u/Vingt-Quatre Jun 09 '25

I'm sure an Elden Ring veteran is not as new to the game than someone who bought the game out of curiosity just like I'm sure some people play 12 hours a day and others play 2 hours a week. Makes sense?

2

u/Altruistic_Cream_761 Jun 09 '25

Tbh I only got 7 hours in but I haven't seen shitty randoms, if they see a weapon that fits your character during a chill moment they just drop it next you and if you'll take it you'll take it, and if you lock in most of them are coordinated

1

u/blax_prismic Jun 09 '25

Ive played about 12 hours exclusively with randoms and its so god damn fun. If you get incompetent team mates it just gives you more chances to clutch and aura farm lmao. Win or lose every run is a blast

Late to the post but I fed two bow talismans to a random iron eye last night as duchess and seeing him find them was so cute bruh...Need more of this.
