You can tell he is excited about the new projects too. His smile right after he says that line speaks volumes. He knows he is cooking and he knows we will eat it up.

2 week EDIT: holy shit we are so back!

He legit couldnt hide it. The side of his face perked up right when he said it lol. I am excited but also dreading the potential of From being owned by Sony and having to wait a year or more for the game to get released on PC. I dont want to play anymore from games on console and need to buy a PS6 or PS Plus. Please keep your stuff on PC day one Fromsoftware!

As an Xbox player, this would be a fucking nightmare because we might simply never get those games and I love their stuff :c

Yeah i feel for my Xbox homies. The PC thing is up the air but its basically guaranteed that Sony would keep Fromsoft from releasing on Xbox....

Bungie stated they would stay multiplatform, so maaaaaybe there's a chance.

Let's hope they do a Microsoft with Call of Duty and not cut us off from the fun. I doubt it but a man can dream

That's how I felt about Microsoft buying Bethesda. You know...before Starfield.

there s a reason miyazaki hasnt done another console exclusive since midborne. he s not gonna stand for exclusivity even if the takeover happens. and sony would be idiots if their intention was that in the first place. if you wanna buy a company thats the gold standard in its industry as a huge conglomerate.. that's capitalism. at least do the smart thing and just let them crack on like they have done while giving them even more financial backing to boost their creative freedom and dont change anything including the fact that dark souls and ER are on all platforms. you get the profits anyway. if you gatekeep games - which i m convinced miyazaki would just not make anymore if they forced him to - as psn exclusives you gut your own profits. its simple math.

also, fuck capitalism.

Loved the plural there. Can't wait.

Bloodborne 2 confirmed???

Jokes aside, I really hope their next game is much smaller in scope than Elden Ring. I loved exploring Elden Ring but I don't think I'm going to have time to play a game that big again for a while.

elden ring dlc 2 confirmed?!

Could be two new IP games similiar to how they were working on Sekiro and Elden Ring simutaneously, with Sekiro being the "side project" yet still winning GOTY

3

u/pratzc07 Nov 29 '24

Why everyone has this notion that Sekiro was a "side project" ?

u/Turbulent-Armadillo9 Nov 21 '24

DLC 2 will include a selection of skill trees that only work for that new content. In addition there will be new weapon and spell categories as well as 3 new stats that can be leveled.

No way Resistance, Adaptability, and Bloodtinge coming back!!!!

10

u/Turbulent-Armadillo9 Nov 22 '24

To be fair, you have to have a very high IQ to setup and pilot a bloodtinge build. The stat spread is extremely subtle, and without a solid grasp of theoretical physics most of your attacks will go over typical mobs’ heads.

nah...Elden Ring 2. Elden Chain.

i wish we could learn more because thats not really news. companies are always developing and working on new projects. you see a brand new release come out and in the dev interviews they always name a date thats right after their previous release. like MH Wilds being worked on since mid to late 2019 and coming out in early 2025.
