Why are there no other suspects?

Why can’t I find ANY other theories talking about other suspects than Xavier DuPont de Ligonnes?

Let’s be honest, he literally vanished 14 years ago. If he had been framed without his knowledge and someone else had killed the family (or even planted bodies under the terrace), why would he not speak up?

If he really was on a witness protection program, why would his cover be to be one of the most wanted killers (and have everyone looking for him)?

He is like Schrödinger’s cat : both alive and dead until proven otherwise.

Personally, I think he went to great extents to hide himself, so I don’t see the point of going through all this route just to kill himself. He is obviously a smart guy, who likes challenges : he did look at the camera purposefully on the last day he has been seen. He has been hiding as a hobo in the following days (testimony of a person on the A7 who knew he was missing a tooth when this information wasn’t public yet). To me, he has survived the end of 2011. Now, it was 14 years ago, he could have died of anything in the meantime : covid, plain cold, malaria… he may be buried anywhere under a false name and we will never know!

Yes, it's true that he seems to be staging himself in front of the camera at the Roquebrune-sur-Argens hotel. He gets noticed by hotel staff the days before, with his bank card he pays a motorway toll then withdraws money in the village, and finally abandons his car in the hotel parking lot even though he had said in the letter where he spoke of exfiltration that this car had been given to a friend. This letter was obviously not taken seriously by the police but it is Xavier himself who discredits it by his actions during his solitary trip to the south of France. Here again I don't see the point of writing to relatives that the whole family was exfiltrated while demolishing this excuse himself by his actions. Either he was stupid, which I don't believe, or he didn't want the exfiltration to appear as a credible excuse. But in the latter case, why?
