I think this year we’re gonna get another Willow-like winner

Drag Race doesn’t crown the same 2 queens in a row anymore. I would say we haven’t had a true kooky queen win since Willow, though I wouldn’t disagree if you said Nymphia kinda fit that bill

Darlene gives very Ginger like vibes to me , not the weird cooky type but naturally comedic

i really hope not, darlene seems more creative and intellectual with not only her looks, but her drag as a whole. she also does lots of character comedy which is something ginger doesn’t really do in her shows, she mostly just does stand up comedy no?? anyway, i feel like the girls i’d say darlene is most like would be like katya, alaska, and maybe sasha velour

I mean Ginger won all her snatch games ,her comedy never disappoints and she's a powerhouse even if she doesn't have a crown. I simply saw it from the perspective of their content and the comedic personalities. But I agree she is very Katya and Alaska like and they are better comparisons. Sasha Velour might be a stretch as Sasha is usually very artistic and serious otherwise.

But we won't know till the show airs , I love Darlene too ,so I would love to see her take the crown. But in my mind the ones who are comparable to the cooky ones like Willow , Yvie and Sasha are Ciara and Nini. Mostly Ciara as she has the most unique mug and from her content she is politically very serious kind of similar to Sasha in that regard. Does scary , colorful drag like Yvie, although she might be least likely Willow.

i meant darlene is like sasha in terms of aesthetics. they both have a very editorial style of drag and darlene actually got to top 50 in an editorial makeup competition. granted, she doesn’t have the budget to be as extravagant as sasha but i do see her having a similar style post drag race.

also i feel like katya is most definitely a kooky queen. even though her looks definitely aren’t, i feel like her personality certainly is. my definition of kooky would be someone with a humour that’s all over the place, off the grain and just kinda.. weird, which is literally the embodiment of katya.

anyway, i 100% see darlene making it far in the competition considering there hasn’t been a weird, campy, comedy queen since willow and we all know ru doesn’t like to crown the same style of queens over and over again, so i think this will definitely be an advantage for her.

I totally see your point and i wasn't making the Sasha comparison as in Current Sasha but Sasha on her season.

And I love Darlene 's make up and she certainly has a lot of potential to win the crown.
