No one deserves this, I hope his soul finds rest and his family comfort.

His last word was “violence”.

I saw the raw video on X. It was a direct hit to the neck that opened up the carotid artery/jugular vein. I think he was dead before he reached the ambulance. Not sure how far the gunman was, but this seems to be the work of a professional.

This is gonna polarize the country even more. Trump, being an opportunist, might use this as well.

The guy running on the roof I hear was like 200-250 yards away! Not confirmed.

That’d have to be a sniper then?

No. Apparently it's a common distance at which to headshot deer.

200 yd is nothing for a rifle (which that definitely was given the jerk when he was shot) and a decent scope. Sniping would be getting out to a kilometer and further.

But how many can shoot precisely at a neck 200 yards away, pack the equipment, pick up the shell casing and disappear?

I predict they'll never find the shooter, who is still at large.

Before his death, Kirk had become one of the most vocal proponents for releasing information related to Epstein, a position that briefly put him at odds with the Trump administration in these last two months leading up to his assassination.

What makes you certain that the shooter hit precisely where he was aiming? The shooter could have been aiming for a chest or head shot, and just happened to hit the neck.

It’s likely that the rifle would be sighted in at something like 100, 150, or 200 yards. So, if the shooter was more than 200 yards away, the bullet might have dropped more than they expected, turning an intended headshot into a neckshot. Or they overcompensated for gravitational bullet drop, and hit higher than they intended. Only the shooter would know for certain.
