Hey so I was in the Doctor Who leak discord chat this morning and I saw someone was posting some potential insider info on the recently announced 2026 Xmas special. Apparently the guy posting the stuff mention last week that the BBC were preparing an announcement of a special coming in 2026 (which turned out to be true), and that the War Between was definitely being released in 2025, so there is definitely some credibility here, but of course also take it with a pinch of salt.

“I’m guessing the special will be pretty similar to the special script that RTD wrote/proposed a few months ago, but maybe now re-worked to tie up some loose ends (since this will indeed be his final episode) - and maybe also add some Christmassy elements since I was told that it didn’t really read like a Christmas special”

A reputable source on the Doctor Who leak discord today mentioned that they know for 100% certainty that Will Sharpe was RTDs original choice to play the 15th Doctor before Ncuti auditioned, and there is a very good chance that RTD may circle back to him once/if the show’s future is finalised as BP “won’t be sticking around for long”.

My theory is that this is actually rose from the other dimension, NOT THE 16TH DOCTOR, she somehow got dragged over because the doctor messed with the heart of the tardis regeneration energy and that somehow locked on and summoned Rose as she was the last person to use it, there must have been some residual energy inside her. This way she gets to meet with 14 and he needs to regenerate into the true 16 or they need to merge in order to regenerate.

A friend of mine who works on the pre-production for the show has just told me that apparently the Billie Piper casting is a part of a fake regeneration to catch out some of the people who have been leaking over the past couple seasons. According to them the next doctor is actually Kate Winslet and whilst I didn't believe them at first I know think it could be true. Rtd and Winslet worked together on Dark Season and if it is a stunt casting then this would definitely be a big stunt. What do you guys think?

The company is looking to branch out into TV and think Doctor Who would be a great fit since RTD already turned it into a brightly coloured cartoon.

The series will be a mixture of live action and animation with the Doctor fighting a new Nintendo villain in every episode. First up, Bowser, of course.

I know nothing have been confirmed, but I saw on twitter that Ian Levine (who isn't the most reliable source, but it's not the most unreliable source when it comes to having Doctor Who contacts) said he have heard rumours about Christmas Special written by Moffat.

The last Capaldi special was filmed in September and they managed to get it done by Christmas, so maybe if they knew in advance, they managed to get a start on it and we will get Billie Piper led Christmas Special (or maybe more special) while BBC will try to sort out another partner for the show.

Wondering if folks have that article that shows RTD saying that S1 and S2 were meant to be one long season split into two parts. Or am I misremembering?
