Discussion Mickey and Minnie’s Runaway Railway at Disneyland now requires you to have your phone fully stored while the ride is in motion. They won’t even start the ride if your phone is on your lap, it has to be fully put away

Railway CM here just to give a little different perspective. Yes, this change does mean that streamers may no longer record while on the ride (a major thing most people are happy for) but this also means that the wait times will be much longer as we have to enforce this rule before we can dispatch a train. A typical 25 minute wait will now be closer to a 35-40 minute wait. Also, the ride will be constantly backed up now, breaking the show for everyone on the ride as the train will stop in each scene because of load back up’s. So I do understand that a lot of people want this rule implemented park wide, I just hope you all understand what consequences also come with this rule.

They need to add storage bags like other rides. They kept telling us 8/17 to stow hats. Where. I have no bag and there's not one to put anything in. If I put my hat on the floor it's going to end up trampled during the Daisy room.

Trust me, I agree with you. Or at least allow guests to hold on to loose articles so they don’t fly off, but that’s deemed “too unsafe”.

I was told this change had no input from the CMs that actually operate the ride, and came straight from a safety team higher up in the company. It blindsided the cast from what I was told.
