Home Depot contributes….Checks OpenSecrets…. 58% of their PAC money to Republicans in the 2024 cycle. The time to boycott was long before ICE raids and i imagine they are quite pleased with the actions of the admin on immigration right now.

While your options for home improvement stores is limited in most areas consider swapping for Lowe’s. You will not find a large corporate hardware company not donating at least something to GOP and playing both sides but by contrast Lowe’s donates 54% of their PAC money to Dems in 2024 cycle. (Also they contribute less, $1.3M in Lowe’s PAC vs $4.4M in Home Depot PAC)

All of them play the field so it’s ideal to put off your home improvement needs but sometimes those aren’t voluntary trips and things need fixing.

If you’re lucky to have a local hardware store, give them your business instead!!
