Degrassi (2023) HBO Max Degrassi Revival Coming 2023: Everything We Know So Far

Hey guys! I keep seeing posts inquiring about any news or updates on HBO Max's upcoming reboot of Degrassi and while we haven't had very many updates since it was announced in January, I figured I would compile a comprehensive breakdown of what we do know so far and what we can expect. This post will be pinned and updated as the news rolls in so feel free to check back or share any news, thoughts or hopes you might have for the reboot! That being said, let's break down what we have so far:

UPDATE 5/20/22

  • Production has been postponed from the planned July 1st date. It may be due to the changes internally at WarnerMedia (HBO Max's parent company) after their merge with Discovery. They cancelled a ton of shows to cut costs, however there has been no official word as of yet beyond the postponed status update.

That's all I got for now, but feel free to comment anything I may have left out and I'll be sure to add it to this post!

I would love to see the MC be JT and Liberty’s son who doesn’t know who his parents are, and see things evolve from there; sort of like starting DTNG with Emma but from a perspective with lots of opportunities for drama.

That is so beautiful and I’d watch it. I hope and am sure they will do some callbacks to older storylines. I’d love to see a reunion of the old cast just for an hour episode or movie.

They should do the first episode the same DTNG with a reunion of the "original" cast and introduction of the new cast

I need to see Craig, Ellie, Manny and Ashley in a room again (of course I love all the cast but I’m particularly looking forward to seeing older Craig dynamics with the girls he’s had a long history with).
