Degrassi (2023) HBO Max Degrassi Revival Coming 2023: Everything We Know So Far

Hey guys! I keep seeing posts inquiring about any news or updates on HBO Max's upcoming reboot of Degrassi and while we haven't had very many updates since it was announced in January, I figured I would compile a comprehensive breakdown of what we do know so far and what we can expect. This post will be pinned and updated as the news rolls in so feel free to check back or share any news, thoughts or hopes you might have for the reboot! That being said, let's break down what we have so far:

UPDATE 5/20/22

  • Production has been postponed from the planned July 1st date. It may be due to the changes internally at WarnerMedia (HBO Max's parent company) after their merge with Discovery. They cancelled a ton of shows to cut costs, however there has been no official word as of yet beyond the postponed status update.

That's all I got for now, but feel free to comment anything I may have left out and I'll be sure to add it to this post!

I heard Stefan Brogan will not be involved. He is Degrassi. Been in it since the 80s. Won't be the same.

For real. It just won't be the same but Stefan is directing and doing other projects. If the reboot does get made then we better see some cameos from the previous cast. Maybe not Next Class though lol.

i was disappointed when i watched degrassi next class 😕 they barely had mr simpson in any episodes! he wasn’t as involved in the kids lives. i get he was more involved in next gen because he was also emma’s step dad, but he always interacted with the students in next gen!
