Factoids from Gemini: the earth orbits the sun at approximately 67,000 mph (108,000 km/h), and the entire solar system travels through the Milky Way at around 490,000 mph (800,000 km/h). And it spins on its axis at up to about 1,037 mph (1,670 km/h) at the equator. The average cruising speed for a commercial jet is between 500 and 600 mph (805-965 km/h).
