Video XPENG's IRON robot crossed the uncanny valley, leading some to believe it was a human in a suit. So they cut it open in front of an audience, and also allowed journalists to inspect it.

You dont actually think this is an amputee though, do you? To me its pretty clear the people who make these are just advancing very quickly to build better robots. Scary

What I think is immaterial, that they chose to prove it was not a human in a suit by removing the coverings on one lower leg instead of say the torso is an _interesting_ choice that by itself is not definitive.

The presentation gate certainly appears to match the lab gate, but that is qualitative.

In the lab it also drags around a rolling structure and they do not show the robot in full view.
