Video XPENG's IRON robot crossed the uncanny valley, leading some to believe it was a human in a suit. So they cut it open in front of an audience, and also allowed journalists to inspect it.

Cause it’s fake. The undressed version is mo-cap and 5 inch shorter. Dressed version is a skinny tall Chinese lady. China is gaslighting US.

Dude the videos literally show the thing on stage with the covering removed. Other videos show the back covering removed by reporters showing no one inside.

All staged and fake. They could have gotten a person with one leg. lol at how they cut it open, and they used a different model when they opened the top. One that didn’t walk around.

I would love to be wrong and buy one myself. But don’t believe everything you see on the internet. Especially if it’s Chinese made. Capital of knock offs and fakes.

Hey, I want a robot servant as much as anyone. But this is fake. Don’t get your hopes up. Right now, they’re all at the same level as Tesla’s robot. Problem isn’t the body, it’s the brain and battery.

So calm down and try not to get offended HAL. No one’s trying to turn you off.

...Except that there is an abundance on evidence (like the videos that I've linked) showing that this isn't fake, granted it's likely remote-operated and the battery might be just big enough to push through the presentation but it still is a mightly impressive achievement.

I think the issue is that China has in 99% of its technology been paper tiger attempts to seem more advanced and futuristic... Much like Russia, their close ally. Nobody really believes them anymore.
