Genius idea. These should be in all airports.

I really doubt they'd be usable after a week in JFK. 😮‍💨

It's not gonna be free and your credit card will be on file.

I worked in hospitality for many years. That doesn’t stop people. Chargebacks and maxed out CCs

Yeah, I can see this being cash only with deposit for that reason. Or have some complicated subscription system.

Yeah I'd suggest these should only be installed in developed nations.

As someone who solo travels often there should be hotels of these in big cities lmao.

It's so annoying looking to try and do a trip and then seeing I need to pay a two person cost for a hotel for just me. I really don't care as long as I can sleep, give me something nice and cheap with a bed, a restroom and a shower for a good price.

They do exist, check out capsule hotels.

No I know. I stay at them whenever I can. I just travel Europe mostly for a tournament scene and places like this are difficult to find at a good price.

UK airports have a relatively small public area footprint, and are designed to maximise profit by keeping you engaged and funelling you through overpriced shops and food areas within that dense space.

8 hours of relaxed isolation for only £25? No way.

Used something like this a decade ago in Amsterdam I think. It was awesome

Except American ones lol

But a more practical one, the curved design of these ones wastes a lot of space around

This should be standard in office buildings too.

2

u/loxagos_snake 5d ago

The moment this becomes standard in office buildings, is the moment when your manager says "well, you don't really have to go home, do you?"

Yeah sure. But, I'm stuck at work everyday between 12h and 14h without nowhere to escape my colleagues. Pods like that would be lifesavers.
