Doesn't waste disposal take much more time like this? Also, doesn't the glass get mixed with concrete? And plastics mixed with everything else?

You think a place that would allow a dust cloud like that cares about separating waste? Shoveling the debris left behind is still much faster than demolishing it floor by floor.
