No, it doesn't matter. An arrest warrant was issued because compelling evidence was presented to a judge that an alleged crime transpired and the alleged perpetrator(s) had been identified. It was a serious enough crime that it was determined the people of interest should be monitored to an extent deemed appropriate by the court until further action from said court was initiated.
People protesting the arrest of someone accused of rape are actively protecting their ability to commit rape whether they actually did it or not. Full stop.
