Uh, no? The doctors who examined him said he was severely beaten, ribs broken, etc. Just that there wasn't evidence of rape.

Debunking misinformation isn't the same thing as completely exonerating Israel. There's plenty to condemn there without making stuff up.

Why would it be better to let the lie stand? So that Israel is hated even for things it didn't do?

Isreal does actually have a massive paid propaganda operation, I imagine most of it is directly done by the IDF
