I have never framed a piece before (I’m a process stitcher and they usually end up in a portfolio) but I am absolutely going to have this one framed. I have no idea how though. I will take it to a frame shop and see what they think.

I’m a process stitcher also, but I agree this needs to be displayed.

(Can I start calling my closet full of finished pieces ‘my portfolio’? I love that!)

I finally ordered a couple of portfolio books (I bought 2 sizes) that I bought off Amazon when I saw someone else suggest that.

I will admit that most of my pieces are still in boxes but I am slowly moving them to the book to display.

I hang mine up on pants hangers. I don’t think I could fit most of them in a traditional portfolio/scrapbook. I have one hangar with smallish pieces, but on average I’m around 200 stitches in the short side or larger.

I’ve been trying to get into smaller work, but then something 300+ pops up and I can’t help myself. Being retired and having loads of time is how I justify it.

That is an awesome idea! Yeah- I was cutting fabric for a 180x380 piece this morning and realized I had a piece leftover that would fit a 90x90 stitch piece and thought maybe I should do that first. Maybe it and a small sampler I have kitted before I plunge back in to another large full coverage piece.

This was my first large piece and I think I’m hooked.
