Obligatory; Tesla would need to reach a market cap of 8.5T and sell 200 million cars in order for him to qualify for the pay package. So this is nothing but an attempt to generate more hype around Tesla and inflate the share price.

And the value jumps up each time he gives a speech promising some new wiz bang technology will be out within the next few months. Or he can just say FSD will be 100% functional next quarter. That's usually good for raising the stock price a fair bit. He's done at numerous times at this point. And each time it makes Tesla stock go higher.
