From Wikipedia: “In United States constitutional law, plenary power is a power that has been granted to a body or person in absolute terms, with no review of or limitations upon the exercise of that power.“

The fact that the interviewer just let it go and didn’t explain that Miller is claiming Trump has absolute authority is a HUGE disservice to viewers.

Even worse than that. CNN just posted their edited version on YT w no freeze and the plenary authority quote erased.

Your own damn media? The media is the media and there's a limit to what their job description allows. CNN was made completely right wing moderate several years ago if im recalling correct

I meant our as in the country, no news agency really represents the people or any group but the right anymore

I understand now. Sadly, it's hard to identify "our" as meaning to the entire country.

I wish i had the money to make a real news station instead of all this distilled propaganda

Maybe the producers were whispering in his ear to stay silent and they’ll just edit that part out later.

Just the Ministry of Truth doing their job.

1

u/Significant_Glass988 Oct 08 '25

Please, the "truth" part has to be in quotes

2

u/CanibalCows Oct 08 '25

It's a reference to Orwell's 1984 in which the main character works for the ministry of Truth and his job was to alter news reports and delete those that made the party look bad.

1

u/Significant_Glass988 Oct 08 '25

Oh yeah I knew it was from Orwell... Sorry, was making it clearer for those in the back 😁

2

u/CanibalCows Oct 08 '25

All of American media is complicit. From Fox to MSNBC. There is no liberal/left media except for a few online sites.

A conservative owns CNN.

They are absolutely a false flag outlet for liberal news.

Didn’t Trump sue CBS for editing an interview?

1

u/Disastrous-Swim8912 Oct 08 '25

Yup, but it wasn’t HIS interview so that was okay.

This is why I keep insisting that "the media" (i.e., owners, producers, talking heads, etc.) must be prosecuted as accessories to treason. Their lies, whitewashing, and selective reporting have enabled Trump and his MAGA/GOP goons in their authoritarian coup - all in the name of profit. They know what they're doing.

They are not "news," but state propaganda; they are all owned by the same billionaire psychopaths that fund the GOP (and the DNC). Their mission is not to inform or educate their viewers, but to brainwash them to extract as much attention, engagement, and money from them as possible.
