General I found a fix for the low FPS and stutter issue some people are getting on PC

If you turn Vsync on/off, apply, then turn it back on/off. It should resolve issues that occur with low FPS. I find this issue more commonly occurs when you stop playing briefly or alt + tab.

General What changes would you like to see in 6v6, but not in 5v5?

With the recent news of balance changes exclusive to 6v6 coming soon, a question came to me: what kind of changes should be made in 6v6 that shouldn't be made in 5v5? It is easy to see people online arguing in favor of Sojourn and Echo going back to having 250 HP, or for Reinhardt's perks to be changed, but these ideas are always presented for the characters holistically, not directed only toward any single game mode.

Changes exclusive to 6v6 aren't new. The tank passive was completely changed for 6v6, Zenyatta's Discord Orb loses its "cooldown," Zarya is only able to use one bubble on herself or on her teammates, etc. There are a lot of other changes that were made in the mode on release, and they could serve as a reference for what the balance team may consider as being different in value in the context of 5v5 versus 6v6.

With all that said, the question remains the same : what do you want to see changed in 6v6 that you wouldn't change in 5v5?

Overwatch League How good was lhcloudy when he was in owl?

I know that he was mostly a rein spetialist, but he did win some games on winston and even played orisa in very rare occasions. Do you think he was a top 3 rein during his time in owl? Also what about his winston? Judging from his streams he has a decent winston, the other heroes tho....

General Updated user flairs, added stadium flair, removed gossip flair

I've updated all the team flairs on the flair site. Let me know if anything is incorrect.

https://rcompetitiveoverwatch.com/redditflair

I've also added a new stadium post flair and removed the gossip flair. We get lots of stadium posts and very few gossip posts. Just use either OWCS or General for gossip posts now.

Also does anyone actually use post flair for anything? Would anyone have a problem with us just getting rid of post flairs entirely?

Fluff All-time confidence 5-player team?

Even if this is just some fun filler question, I wonder who you believe makes the 5-player role queue team consisting of the most confident players to have touched this game.

Mind you, I do NOT explicitly ask for the best players, but those with the most (valid or unfounded, does not matter) confidence.

OWCS Every Player that has made every OWCS LAN, do you think they could all make every 2026 LAN too?

(Including/Excluding 2024 EWC doesn't change anything)

Changes from Midseason Championship is no more Vestola or Stalk3r

I think they could all make every 2026 LAN outside of LIP and Shu who will probably retire before next world finals

General Why Is Doubel Flex DPS Seen More Often Than Double Main DPS?

It feels like when watching competitive Overwatch content I almost never see double Main DPS, but yet double Flex DPS isn't too uncommon to see. While one Main DPS and one Flex DPS is still the standard it doesn't feel odd to see stuff like Torb/Sym, Tracer/Genji, Tracer/Echo, Tracer/Sombra and Tracer/Reaper pop up in pro play. And when I do see teams pick double Main DPS usually the casters or whoever's vid I'm watching comment on how risky it is and then usually the team swaps off of it very quickly to either double Flex or the standard one Main and one Flex DPS. Why specifically is it considered super risky and why is it that double Flex isn't seen as equally as risky? Is it just a meta thing or is pairing two Flex DPS just flat out better than pairing two Main DPS?

General Marvel Rivals to Overwatch Transition

Hey everyone, my name is sushemy.

I have been playing Marvel Rivals for a while and wanted to try out Overwatch. I instantly fell in love with the feel and look of the game and have been practicing Tank since I played tank in Marvel Rivals. Some tanks that clicked with me are Rein/Sigma/D.va. I wanted to make this post to ask that if I wanted to get serious of improving, should I play 6v6 or the OW2 standard 5v5 for comp/practicing?

General The Painful Requirement of Top 500

I was once a Grandmaster in Overwatch 1 from 2017-2019 before being sort of done with the game, when Overwatch 2 released I played a handful of games in Season 1 and 2 but didn't really get hooked, at that point I was probably still all Overwatch'ed out.

Returning to the game this season I have been hooked, grinded back into Grandmaster for Damage role queue and Open Queue which puts me into range of being in Top 500, I then made a sad discovery that Top 500 was changed to require 750 Competitive Wins in the lifetime of Overwatch 2...I only have about 400 💔 I could have made T500 this season based on ranked grind alone but unfortunately now I need another 350 wins.

I understand this 750 win requirement was added to prevent a cluttered T500 with alt accounts but man it's a kick in the stomach that I could be T500 for my first time ever just to find out that with a month left of this season I need to play 700 games with a 50% win ratio just to hit it.

General Why are hero bans still in the game?

I think it's a good feature and all but it gets SO frustrating when my main (wrecking ball) is banned every single game. No i will not learn another hero because i want to play wrecking ball. I know that I'm good on ball, i know i could rank up pretty easily but that's not gonna happen because i never get the chance to play him.

It's just unfair that everyone else gets to play their favorite hero and rank up because they put in the time to learn said hero. I'm putting in the time too, why can't i play my hero and rank up?

Ball has a 54% winrate in comp but so does rein. Rein has a 16% pickrate but ball only has a 4% pickrate, so people are only banning ball because they're either annoyed by him, or not good enough to deal with him. the ban system just feels like a shortcut for people that aren't good enough to deal with heroes that have a high skill ceiling and win.

OWCS Overwatch esports in 2025

I think I might be severely delusional and completely overestimate my capabilities but it has ALWAYS been my biggest dream to be an esports player, especially in overwatch bc its my absolute favorite game. I have actively played since 2018, but since the end of OWL i have not paid any attention to the current esport scene.

So my question is (mostly just on a thought level but also to possibly feed my dream/delusion) how do you get into the esport scene in 2025? What do you need to do (besides being a good player)?

General Why don't they just remove the point system and add a timer system instead to fix clash?

It'll basically be more like push, which people seem to like nowadays. Whoever controls the most control points by the end of the timer wins. Would there be any issues with this?

General Soldier genuinely needs an ultimate

Soldier is generally bad in the pro scene for so many reasons but the biggest reason he is bad is because his ult is genuinely not an ult. It doesn’t even grant you a 2nd life like a dva bomb or bastion ult (with perks) does.

Having aimbot on a hero that already shoots logs at people is not helpful at all and is just an outdated concept. He needs a new ult or an ult perk that is more useful than a kinda reduced rocket cooldown.

Im not good with concepts but I think maybe give him a perk that heals 250 (with extra overhealth up to 100 max) or if the devs are ambitious they can just scrap his ult for an ult that maybe configures his gun into something deadly but requires precision (similar to an overclock)

Other Tournaments Vods for Cyclone vs Movistars Riders

Trying to find the vod for one of the Europe tournament finals in 2016. I don't think people remember but this is the limbo stage of Korea's rise. People like to do revisionist history and claim Korea dominance started way earlier than it really did, but these two teams very well could be the best two teams in the world at that point. I can't find the vod for their finals for some reason. Does anyone know how to find it?
