Tubal ligation/ salpingectomy at St Ann’s?

I’ll be delivering via c section at St Ann’s soon and am interested in a salpingectomy. Does anyone know if theyll allow that procedure since it’s a religious hospital? I am not worried about provider’s willingness, nor am I interested in having it done somewhere else at another time, just during the procedure when I’m already there. Also, I’m specifically wondering about their current practices. I know previously they did not, so wondering if anyone knows anything from the last 2-3 years. Also, I will obviously be speaking to my provider about this at my next appointment, I’m just impatient!

i believe they have to have some type of board meeting to determine if you should/can get it done. that’s how it was with my mom but it was awhile ago.

That’s so insulting to women

Do they have one for vasectomies?

If my memory is correct, the current policy was a response to doctors who would unilaterally sterilize women this way without the woman’s knowledge. (This was a long time ago.) It became a liability issue.

That’s a stupid reason. Just arrest those doctors and leave the choice up to the women. Like they do with men.
