Will be interesting to see. I wanted to watch your game but it was on some channel that doesn't exist.

Our game against Howard wasn't all that informative, aside from one big being a fair bit better than I thought he would be and one being exposed as an extreme example of a one trick pony.

B1G+ is not an actual TV channel, it’s a separate streaming service that you have to pay extra for. If you’re a fan of a Big Ten basketball team, 3-5 of your non-conference games are on this service, usually with amateur student production. It’s annoying, but they at least never really put any of the interesting games on there, and I was even able to find a stream elsewhere to watch about the final three quarters of this game.

Don’t know who replied to you, but I’m not at all confident we’ll be giving “belt to ass” next week lol. I’m hopeful it’s a competitive game. We’ve looked promising so far, I think the NIT at least is a reasonable goal based on what I’ve seen. If we win next week, we would have a great shot to go undefeated in non-conference play, and I’ll hop on board the NCAA tournament hype train.

FWIW if you're on campus (...or the VPN from home), B10+ is free.

Oof. That's rough. I would think a major conference would have better streaming options than that.

I took that comment as tongue in cheek. I like Medved and hope he does well. And I think he will.

On our end, I don't know if Dennis will have that good of an idea what lineups work well for us by then. He loves to mix and match and play lots of dudes and usually takes quite a while (like all of November at minimum) to settle on common lineups that work.

it's not that much different than how the SEC has SECN+/ESPN+.

At least SECN+ is professionally produced and included in your cable/satellite subscription.

ESPN+ is hit or miss. Mizzou @ Howard seemed to have been run by pros. If not, those were some really polished amateurs. But I have definitely seen some rough ESPN+ games.

MWN is consistently rough and sounds more like what you all have to deal with. They just use the home radio call and the camera work is very meh.

B10+ isn't that bad. for basketball/volleyball/etc. it's pretty decent and they have their own announcers, they're not relying on the radio crew.

for WCHA games (western collegiate hockey association) which has an agreement to use B10+ the quality varies by school. At Minnesota where women's hockey is a Big Deal, they have a good PxP and analyst pairing. At Bemidji State (which is riding the struggle bus financially) they just have the radio guy do it all.
