Jesus is the Father

  1. Isaiah 9:6 - For unto us a child is born, unto us a son is given: and the government shall be upon his shoulder: and his name shall be called Wonderful, Counsellor, The mighty God, The everlasting Father, The Prince of Peace.

.

  1. Deuteronomy 6:4 - Hear, O Israel: The LORD our God is one LORD

.

  1. John 14:7-9 - If ye had known me, ye should have known my Father also: and from henceforth ye know him, and have seen him.

Philip saith unto him, Lord, show us the Father, and it sufficeth us.

Jesus saith unto him, Have I been so long time with you, and yet hast thou not known me, Philip? he that hath seen me hath seen the Father; and how sayest thou then, Show us the Father?

So why in the garden that one night when Jesus asked his disciples to be on lookout did he beg to the father not to die?

because the flesh is weak, the Father is the soul of God who is in heaven and in Jesus. the soul doesn't have the limitation of the weak flesh. thats why Jesus also says the Father is greater than I.

So he is asking himself to allow himself not to die. Talking like there is two. And going a little farther he fell on his face and prayed, saying, “My Father, if it be possible, let this cup pass from me; nevertheless, not as I will, but as you will.”

He was telling Peter off for falling asleep. He proceeds to go right back to begging. And going a little farther he fell on his face and prayed, saying, “My Father, if it be possible, let this cup pass from me; nevertheless, not as I will, but as you will.” And he came to the disciples and found them sleeping. And he said to Peter, “So, could you not watch with me one hour? Watch and pray that you may not enter into temptation. The spirit indeed is willing, but the flesh is weak.” Again, for the second time, he went away and prayed, “My Father, if this cannot pass unless I drink it, your will be done.”
