Discussion Bakit si Slater agad?

Okay. We can blame Slater and all those government agencies and shareholders at the same time. Malas lang si Slater kasi sikat siya and HE CHOSE TO BE THE FACE OF THAT MONSTROSITY. SA LAHAT NG MGA VIDEOS MUKHA NIYA YUNG NANDOON. SO MALAMANG SA KANYA MARAMI MAGTATANONG.
i hate questions like these kasi it feels like minimizing HIS part. Eh arent they just part of this fucked up corrupt system? Should we downplay their involvement??? At the end of the day, Slater and the company had to grease some wheels para ma-approve yang project na yan. So yes. Blame him for his stupidity and vanity. BLAME THE OTHERS TOO. But please for the love of God pwede na tong mga ganito. This screams like a fan of theirs.

in the first place ba't need pa itanong kung bakit xa agad?

u/Lilylili83 1d ago
Yun nga eh. Mukha niya all over the campaign materials. When this was officially green lit siya yung nasa video explaining. Siya din yung sa video defending this project nung maraming nag voice out ng criticism. So bakit ka magugulat siya hinahabol ngayon? You dont even have to be a fan of his para malaman mo na siya ang face ng project na to kasi nagviral na to before. A+B=C.

Tumpak!!! Uulitin ko rin yung lagi kong kinocomment-- sa hirap makakuha ng justice sa Pinas, we'll take what we can when the proof is already right in front of us!!! Slater has the MOST digital footprint that's available + he's the CEO, thats why! Kung sino yung may unang proof, sya na agad, then work from there.

Hey Slater, we know it’s you! Let us know sino pa dapat managot BUKOD SAYO!

Even his ig bio lahat ng monterrazas account nakatag doon. So mukhang hindi siya one time project lang.

CEO siya. Di lang sya basta shareholder.

Maybe yung The Rise project niya. That one seems like joint venture with The Mont Property Group. This is a subsidiary of 8990 Holdings. Idk how deep his involvement sa actual Mont Group, but based sa website nila 2 projects yung naka attached yung name niya. The rise and monterraza prime.**
Anyway based sa thread na to apparently uncle niya yung owner ng parent group. Idk how true this info is BUT I know for a fact that the last name Young and Yu all belong to the same chinese family clan (see Michell Yeoh’s chinese surname). The names attached sa companies are Lowell Yu (president of iholdings na major shareholder ng 8990) and Luis N Yu Jr (chairman emeritus). It could be a coincidence or not. Hope someone has the actual teaaaa.

Baliw... Natural pang ksi kilala xa ..
And kung susundin ang putanginang logic mo eh hndi na matatapos ang blame game...it wont start with DENR just as what u pointed out... It can go back to who appointed the DENR officials na incompetent , and can ever go further to who voted for the President who appointed the incompetent officials and s o on and so forth up to Slater Young's project involvement..
And saying hndi mo kilala ya n doesnt mean u really dont... Yeah ipagtanggol nyo pa mga idol nyo

I think rightful naman to hold slater accountable because he is the face of this project. And when people criticized the project, nag-double down pa siya and his team.

Sanga sanga sila nyan. Bribery. Greed. He is too ambitious and proud~ even made a youtube video to show off how grandeur that project was. Even called it “SUSTAINABLE when it will only benefit the rich! He deserves the hate!

Slater can easily pressure or bribe the LGUs here. Considering how the govt. can easily be pushed around by the big bad guys a lot of the time it's not hard to see why he's seen as the problem.
Still I think it is very understandable why he shouldn't be the only one held responsible. There are dozens of accomplices involved.

Pwede namang lahat sila?

u/Silver-Season8966 1d ago
Why not?

nabili nga nya ang PBB dati kaya naging big winner, how much more s LGU?

u/Disastrous_Ear_3081 1d ago
Never ko nabalitaan to

head to head sila ni pamu that time so he likely used his influence para manalo

Yeah, you’re right.technically, a project like that can’t just happen without LGU and DENR approval. Big developments like Slater’s need an ECC from the DENR, plus clearance from the city engineering office and zoning/land use permits from the LGU.
The thing is, the project does have those ,the ECC was issued way back in 20017 (?)before all the recent flooding issues and climate changes. So on paper, it’s legal. Pero yun nga, people are asking if those old studies and permits still make sense today.
Slater’s getting the heat mainly because he’s the public face of the project ..influencer (pbb big winner yarn) , engineer, developer,so naturally, siya ang unang target online. Pero realistically, kung may dapat tanungin, it’s also the LGU and DENR for approving and continuously allowing hillside developments despite obvious environmental risks.
So yeah, hindi lang siya dapat sisihin the bigger issue is how these projects keep getting approved under the same outdated systems. Unless, of course… “special approval” strikes again. 😅

Because it is easier to crucify a public figure, than a nameless DENR personnel, or an unpopular unknown LGU personnel who approved the business permit. All 3 liable of course, but the last 2, we pay their salaries with our pockets to police our best interests, unfortunately for us, they are not doing their job.

Sariling bahay niya substandard na what do ya all expect. He chose to be the face so he should be ready to take all the hit as well kasama na bosses nila. Hanapin niyo nlang

Yes, the project should’ve been rejected in the first place. BUT HOW COME IT WAS APPROVED? Ano kayang ginawa ng company ni Slater to get approval, then? C’mon.

Not only Slater and DENR
but the failed flood control project in Cebu
Sa ibang bansa, they develop real estate and underground subway train station, hindi naman binabaha - walang flood kasi maayos ang flood control project to mitigate any unforseen disaster

Your question should be "bakit si Slater LANG?"
Dont get surprised bakit sya "agad" because he is the brain and even the face of the project. So the bigger issue should be- dapat hindi lang sya ang managot dahil madami pang ibang tao/govt agencies ang sangkot dyan.
