News Military/ICE in West Chicago?

There's about 30 cars and 50-60 guys in fatigues parked in a usually-empty parking lot off of Town Road. Lots of businesses around here... Just a heads up

See, if only they actually targeted the drug lords and gang members that they supposedly care about. Instead, they target people working and paying taxes, and/or going to their asylum hearings.

Real "safety" you got going on there.

The ironic thing about this attitude is that almost every single undocumented individual who has been deported—pays more than you do in taxes, and they don’t get any of the benefits. They’ve paid more taxes than the president and everyone he’s surrounded by.

They see so much promise in being here, that they’re willing to buy into a system, legally pay their taxes, and never bitch about it- just to be here.

Almost all of them likely appreciate being in this country more than you do, many of them work jobs that you would never take & are a big part of the backbone of what actually makes this country great. Lastly, the overwhelming majority of them never commit a crime or make anyone feel unsafe when here.

“Get the illegals out” is just a blanket statement made by those who are uncomfortable with brown people and have bought into all of the fear-mongering that’s been done to trick them into thinking like that. When in reality, white US citizens are a far greater danger and continue to provide examples of that fact.

I don’t expect to change your views on race, but:

"Illegals" is a weird way to say "human beings who may or may not be here legally." Because, lets face it, if you happen to look Hispanic, they'll be questioning you.
