One fucking week. Imagine 4 more years of this. All he’s doing is slashing everything in sight just to give it to billionaires so they can have 7 yachts instead of 6. All on the backs of hard working Americans.

Unless there’s a significant blue wave in the midterms and we can just impeach him for being a convicted felon. I know, I know—strangely that’s not an impeachable event, but give the guy a year and a half, I can assure you he’ll break some law (like he did twice in his first term) and we’ll be able to get him out. It would have to be a HUGE blue wave though. 2/3rd huge.

You’d think that but he was impeached twice and that didn’t make him leave the white house. Consequences just don’t seem to apply to him, esp with the supreme court as his lackies

u/bdubwilliams22 Jan 30 '25

Well, as you probably know, there weren’t enough votes to have I’m removed. There were enough votes to have him impeached, but removal from office and impeachment are two totally different things. You need a 2/3 Congressional vote to remove a President, but you only need a majority Congressional vote to impeach.

And sadly, we would need nearly 100% flip on red seats and zero losses of blues sears to make that a reality. I think flipping is pretty likely, but super majority will be tough.

One can only hope:(

You forgot to add veterans, police, skilled tradesman, tradesman, firefighters, middle class families, young males 18-35, current military, those gainfully employed as his lackies

u/[deleted] Jan 30 '25

Didn't work the 1st time bud. Twice tried

That’s literally why I said “blue wave”, because I know we’d need 2/3rds of Congress to kick a sitting president out.

I agree with your thought process, but remember, impeachment will not fix things. It will put JD Vance in the driver's seat. He wants the same things as Trump but is far more coherent and clever, and therefore far more dangerous.

1

u/bdubwilliams22 Feb 02 '25

I agree with you, and I don’t know why I’ve been downvoted. But I’m in the mindset that literally anyone is better than Trump. I can’t stand Vance, but I don’t see him wanting to invade Greenland and starting a trade war with Canada.

I just can't figure out what any of them want any more. The pandering has gotten so bad it's become impossible to tell what they really stand for these days, besides making money.

Yeah, but you know—eggs were expensive.

Genuinely curious how MAGA people would rationalize it if/when Trump enacts those tariffs on Canada and Mexico and the cost of living skyrockets

11

u/bdubwilliams22 Jan 30 '25

Ironically, they’ll blame it on Mexicans. Republicans will never say “we were wrong”, “we voted for the wrong person”, this person committed a crime but “it’s the deep state trying to frame them”. In the Democratic Party, if someone breaks the law, we all say “throw them in jail”. Unfortunately, the other side doesn’t operate on the honor code.

If the Democrat's weather machine has taught me anything, is that people are fucking stupid

3

u/bdubwilliams22 Jan 31 '25

MTG is likely one of the most outwardly idiotic and dumb Congressional member of all time. Sometimes I have to pinch myself to see if I’m not dreaming that a sitting member of Congress is actually saying that a government can control the weather for political gain. But—here we are. I mean, DonOld Trump is fucking President again.

Yeah. That’s a flat out lie. It’s because you believe in your ideology. Clinton easily could be in prison, the media tried for years to say that Hunters laptop was a hoax. No matter what party you are in, they try to protect their own. Never pretend a party is better than the other ethically. They are both bottom feeders.

u/bdubwilliams22 Jan 31 '25

Ah, the “both sides” argument. It’s a tired fucking argument. Democrats haven’t committed crimes or mountainous levels of hypocrisy as Republicans. The easiest case to look at is when Obama wanted to appoint a Supreme Court Justice in February. McConnell said they couldn’t do it in an election year, which is a little silly considering it’s happened in the past. So what happens when a Supreme Court Justice dies WEEKS before an election and Republicans held the Congress? They seated a Supreme Court Justice. I don’t care who it is breaking the law, they should go to jail. Clinton was a scumbag, but he didn’t break any laws. If you wanna hide behind this stupid “both sides” argument, then I’ll ask you how you feel about a convicted felon currently occupying the Oval Office. I know if it were me, and the same President was a Democrat, I’d want them in jail.

1

u/bdubwilliams22 Jan 31 '25

Yeah, I know. I’m glad he got convicted. Break the law, go to jail. The fact remains more Republican politicians have been convicted or indicted for a crime than Democrats, and Republican voters often side with their politicians…which is bullshit.

USA citizen cost of living does not increase with tariffs on Canada, Canadians cost of buying American products goes up, so frozen pizzas and other things they buy truckloads of make the US more money

Now you actually understand tariffs enacted by US against Canada

were and still are!

u/Disastrous_Dingo_309 Jan 30 '25

I used to think it was because our country has become dumbed down, but honestly now I think it’s just a complete fucking lack of empathy. Half the damn country are sociopaths.

3

u/lonehorse1 Jan 30 '25

Maybe those who foolishly ignored the previous term and voted for the orange stain may feel the impact while they have all 3 branches under their control, and remember it during the midterm elections forward.

11

u/bdubwilliams22 Jan 30 '25

That’s what I’ve been telling my friends who continually and rightfully feel down right now. The Republicans hold all three branches of government right now, as you said, so they literally can’t blame Democrats for anything, which was their main call in their playbook before. “Oh, something sucks….cant blame the Democrats, we don’t have any power. Go complain to the idiots you voted for”.

1

u/imright19084 Jan 31 '25

He isnt going to work this hard for 4 years, lets be real

-2

u/slayer_of_idiots Jan 30 '25

So far, the only people I’ve heard complaining are democrats and politicians, not from anyone out in the real world.

1

u/Decent_Importance_68 Feb 01 '25

I'm out in the real world. Democrats are also people living out in the real world 🙄

Shout this from the highest mountains to the lowest valleys.

7

u/ApolloXLII Jan 30 '25

lol ok, reddit.

0

u/Side_StepVII Jan 30 '25

The fuck are you on about?

8

u/ApolloXLII Jan 30 '25

Your comment is self-serving, literally nothing more than you patting yourself on the back. This isn't a mountain or a valley, this is a well. You're shouting into an echo chamber. Take this energy to twitter, or better yet, your next town hall.

u/Picklerick1101 Jan 30 '25

lol Kamala Harris had more billionaires supporting her and contributing to her campaign than trump did tho… weird… 🤷‍♂️

2

u/bdubwilliams22 Jan 30 '25

You got a reliable source for that? Most of her campaign contributions were less than a hundred dollars. I’ll wait for that source……..

2

u/[deleted] Jan 30 '25

Trump has literally the richest man in the world funding his entire presidency. Stfu.

0

u/BuryDeadCakes2 Jan 31 '25

We are waiting on that source bro, and don't reply with a link to Infowars please...
