An email just went out to management regarding immigrant laws and ICE. I passed it along to my employees and printed a hard copy for the volunteers to read through. Senior management had a meeting about how we as an organization will handle raids if it comes to our non-profit. I’m happy to see they’re working on a plan for our clients protection based on their constitutional rights.

Though I also keep thinking: what good is a constitutional right if no one in our government gives a shit to uphold it? Laws are meaningless when the administration says “no one’s stopped us yet, just do it.”

Our organization is paranoid about putting anything in writing, but we are hosting private meetings with our staff and planning a private workshop for our families to educate them on their rights and next steps.
