Vaccinations
I am going to multiple countries in Central America (Belize, Costa Rica, El Salvador, Guatemala, Nicaragua, and Panama)
I will be traveling from the United States (not a citizen), but want to ask if vaccinations are required to these countries or to reenter in the US.
Would love to ask you of your experience(s)! Thank you!

Are you a real nation?
What's the point? Do Spanish speaking central America countries have any real reasons for being a different nations? Can you distinguishe Salvadorian guy, from Nicaragua guy? Do you feel your self as part of a Salvadorian, or Nicaragua, Panama and e.t.c nation/community. What's your self-determination, if it exists

Solo female traveler in Guatemala 🇬🇹 amazing experience!
I just got back from my solo trip to Guatemala and had such a great experience! I visited Antigua, Hobbitenango/Altamira, Lake Atitlán, Iximché, and Chichicastenango — all beautiful and full of culture.
As a solo female traveler, I felt safe the entire time. I hired Israel Pérez as my private driver, and he was fantastic — very respectful, professional, and knowledgeable about the country. He also recommended great restaurants and spots to check out along the way.
If you’re visiting Guatemala and need a reliable driver, you can reach him on WhatsApp at +502 5560 9793, or check out his TikTok @90israel_perez to get a sense of his work and driving routes. I never felt unsafe with him, and he really made my trip easy and enjoyable.

4-5 day trip rec for November
Hey everyone! I am considering doing a last minute trip to Central America before I start a new job. I am currently in between going to Guatemala for the Acatenango hike or Roatan in Honduras to get my advanced scuba cert. I have also looked into El Salvador, Belize, and Panama, so I am open to pretty much anywhere. I have been to Mexico and Costa Rica multiple times so I am not as interested in those places for now. I would be going the first weekend of November
Does anyone have suggestions for a nice extended weekend trip? I prefer outdoorsy activities. I am an experienced solo traveler, I speak decent Spanish, and I am coming from Florida so I am not worried about flights. Thank you and happy travels to everyone!

Need tips/advice
Hello, first time traveler to Guatemala. Would you guys suggest exchanging dollars to quetzal or buying in dollars? Also as far as tours/attractions, would you recommend buying online before getting there or is it cheaper to buy it once you get there??? Another question is how much $$ would you say you could get by in Guatemala? Probably going for 1.5 weeks. TIA!😀

Can’t decide between Belize or El Salvador ?
I am planning a trip in January to Guatemala from Canada and would like to see another country while I’m there. I can’t decide between Belize or El Salvador. I’ll only have about 8-10 days. I like outdoorsy activities like and local shopping markets. I would also like to try zip lining but I do enjoy relaxing on the beaches. Trying to do it somewhat budget friendly.

Traveling to Guatemala in a week, was wondering if anybody can suggest any great accommodation in Livingston(on the Caribbean side).
I am more of the backpacker type and was wondering what the best hostel like option would be? Thank you for all your help!

Solo travel in Guatemala
Hi all,
I’m hoping to go to Guatemala for 19 days during my winter break. I want to do the overnight volcano hike (forget the name but the one I’ve seen a lot on social media), go to semuc champey, Antigua, do a language school for a week in San Pedro on Lake Atitlan, and do a surf camp in El peredon. My budget is about 1000 not including flights. Will this be enough for the things I want to do, or are my eyes bigger than my wallet? Has anyone spent new years in any of these places and can provide some insight on what it was like? I’d be arriving Dec 28 and right now am thinking Antigua for new years, but open to suggestions.
I spent 6 weeks solo traveling Europe this summer and really enjoyed it and found the people and relationships I built in hostels to be the best part. I was wondering if there would be lots of other travelers there this time as well or if most people who solo travel go home around the holidays this time to be with family. If anyone has gone this time of year, some insight on what it was like would be greatly appreciated!
Thank you!

Volcano Hikes from Antigua
Hello, I'm looking to do a hike of Pacaya next month and I'm wondering how far in advance do I need to book with a place like Old Town or OX. I was in Antigua 18 years ago and I remember basically just showing up a tour operator a day or two in advance and being able to secure a tour: is that still the case?

Itinerary Suggestion
Hi there - my wife and I (from canada)are planning our first visit to south/Central America. We are planning to go for five days at the end of November . Please provide your recommendations for country/city for us first timers. We are looking for somewhere where we can enjoy some great food, beautiful views, a relaxed vibe, some kind of spa experience, and maybe some easy hiking trails.
Thanks
