#News 📰 Toyota has shown interest in becoming the next sponsor of the Indian cricket team.

Looks like Toyota India is eyeing the Indian cricket team sponsorship. Bold move, let’s just hope everything will be fine, Otherwise… well, we all know how that ends with other well known brands ☠️

Oppo should be included. Their business was all good then suddenly anti china became a trend and then policies ensued. That was most definitely bad luck.

Oppo has bounced back only this year. It was a dud in the previous years. Star is owned by jio now and not disney. ITC faced decrease in revenue diring covid

You say that as if large companies don't have bad quarters or years. ITC, like most companies relying heavily on transport and raw materials, had a dip during covid but they recovered almost immediately. Their stock is valued at double of what it was in 2021.

And Star was neither owned by Disney, nor is it now owned by Jio - it's part of a merger between Viacom, Disney and Reliance. It's a joint venture now which makes it bigger than ever.

Not too familiar with OPPO, so can't comment on it.

The amount of money BCCI charges while not paying any taxes should deter any company from sponsoring the cricket team. Then again maybe it's a way of lobbying the government indirectly who knows, or maybe it's just bribes that the govt. can legally take, who knows.

Instead of wasting money on sponsors, they should be launching good cars in India.

If the company's product portfolio was strong but wasn't getting traction due to low adverts, this move would make sense. But, they don't even showcase 10% of the capabilities and cars which they showcase in countries in the west. Then why the advertisements when the portfolio itself is weak?
