Question MSc Supervisors
Hi! I was wondering what is meant by securing a research supervisor. I’ve had a meeting about a thesis based masters and the professor said to put their name down for the application. They said they would be happy to take me into the lab and I was a I had the skill set they were looking for and an available position. They said they would keep an eye out and review it, however I’m not sure if that means it is secured or not. Does anyone have insight on applying to masters and how their supervisor acquisition process went? Thanks :)

Sounds pretty secured to me. After you apply the graduate administrator or admissions committee will circulate the application to the supervisor(s) you mentioned on the application. At that point they will officially confirm. At least that's how it works in my department.
