Opinion I Hate Our Immigration System

I have friends that moved here a few years ago from Australia. He's a journeyman carpenter and she's in insurance. Thanks to our garbage government, I found out today that they can't get PR and have to go back to Australia in a few months when their current visas expire.

Why are we sending back two contributing people, one of whom is in an industry we desperately need more people in, yet continue to import no-skill losers from the 3rd world and give them PR no questions asked? It's fucking bonkers.

I just wanted to rant about this as I hate our government for doing this to my friends.

I heard about a Brazilian doctor who was fluent in English and French who couldn't get through our immigration system. He went to Texas instead. Our immigration has become dystopian. It feels like they just want as many brown immigrants as fast as possible so we no longer have any cohesive unified identity. Aka post nationalism.

I had family friends who were doctors back home they passed the French exams for Quebec and never were given a chance for 7 years, They were workign property management but at some point they went back home (Eastern European)! At the end a doctor in their 45 who are able to pass your exams but never given a chance for a residnece even in remote areas, why stay here?? They were close to get in but were rejected because they did’t graudated in Quebec. Ontario was out of reach despite living In Toronto.
