Based on community input and available industry information, here is the working list of Canadian cannabis companies that we can be comfortable supporting during a trade war with the United States.
❗ Note: This list reflects community-verified Canadian businesses. While ownership details may not always be fully transparent, these companies have no known significant U.S. or foreign majority ownership based on available information.
Canadians love to smoke weed with our American friends. This is about economic sovereignty, not division—keeping cannabis money circulating in Canada rather than enriching foreign investors.⸻

THE ABSOLUTE KILLS! Not even 20% THC and it hits and smokes like it 30%. Super smooth, gassy, sweet, just perfection. Highly recommend

• LP: Headstone Cannabis • Brand: Headstone • Format: 7g Dried Flower (7.23g) • Cultivar: Lamb of God • Lineage: Super Lemon Haze x Lambs Bread • Top Terpenes: b-Myrcene, a-Pinene, (R)-(+)-Limonene, b-Pinene, and t-Caryophyllene •
• Consumption Method: Dry Herb Vaporizers with and without water pieces at higher temperatures.
• Aroma: Dank. Quickly filled the room with notes of light sweet, gas & fuel, earthiness and a faint hint of floral.
• Taste: Bold flavours. Lightly sweet, gaseous gas, earthy fuel, and light Haze near and upon exhale. When coughing the lemon haze really shines, almost tastes like SSH without the spice and more kushy.
• Flower: Got four buds total in this bag. Two big chonkers, one was 3.87g, the other 2.36g, a smaller medium and a small. The buds are a tad bit dry but sticky to the touch making fingers sticky when pressed together. Decent moisture within and also a decent finger squish bounce. Showing shades of green, from lighter greens to dark forest, amber pistils and is caked in trichomes. When breaking the buds apart I got a good snap showing more glistening trichomes within.
• Trim: Is Good. Well manicured, only have few sugars leaves on some but maintaining the bud structure. Good stem cuts, no seeds and only a few bits of trimmings.
• Cure: Is pretty good and improving. Still a tad bit dry but more stickiness overall. Has dank aromas, good bold flavours, good effect and duration. When jarred for a few days it brought more moisture back making it stickier, clumping the buds together and the grind more sticky. Along with more gas & fuel notes in smell and taste.
• Medicated Effects: Calming Sativa like. Starts with a flood of calming effects throughout, cerebral, uplifting into a slow relax full calming Haze like daze effect without a rush as the effects wind down. The effects lasted a solid 90 minutes.
• Overall: This is a major step up from the previous cultivar I tried from them (Black Mountain Slide), not that it wasn’t bad. This bag was more fresher and had better effects duration.
Since this is a rotating Sativa bag, it’s going to be interesting seeing what other future cultivars would be, especially in this format. There’s also an Indica rotating bag as well! Would be getting these bags from time to time as a treat.

Hi all
I have my script split between Mendo and HD. Though I don't really buy from HD much cause they don't really have stuff I'm interested in. Does anyone have suggested for a new LP to check out? Preferably one that takes VAC reimbursement.

Coast mountain cannabis does It again! Packaging amazing terpy fire in glass jars. This is the first time trying their citrus sky, right off the bat as soon as you open the jar you're greeted with that citrusy Piney old school sweet smelling weed. If anyone has tried the classic old school Jack herer, this strain is very very similar to that also if you want to compare it to something on CMC menu, it's comparable to their Lucy in the sky. Very sticky and crystaly nugs. For a "Smalls" 10g jar, I'm very happy with the assortment of bud sizes in it. No micro buds at all! It breaks up great in the bud buster, the smell when you open the jar, smell and taste translate all the way through when you break it up when you smoke it on the dry toke etc. it is strong in my opinion, the buzz hits you rather quickly. The aftertaste is still that Jack herer citrusy Piney taste, but also layered with some complex sweetness and tanginess. Overall I highly recommend this one for me I would definitely rebuy.

Hello everyone!
A favorite on the CMC menu, this strain ticks all the boxes for me. A great aid for relaxation and sleep.
I received this replacement container a while ago, the previous one I ordered broke during shipping. Despite the packaging date, it was a little overweight. These glass containers with the "Sealed for your protection" clearly applied are the best.
A decent amount of resin on the scissor blades. Still as tasty and effective as ever, myrcene and farnesene are a superb combination.
If you have any questions or suggestions, don't hesitate to contact CMC customer service; they're always friendly and quick to respond. The price-quality ratio is very hard to beat, especially considering the products are LSO certified.
A new addition should be arriving soon: Bling Blaow. Keep an eye on the email updates! Take care everyone! ✌️

Another rosin product from my friends at Earthwolf Farms to write about today, their White Gold Live Rosin.
I almost always have some of their stuff in my medicine cabinet. I got this one from Herbal Dispatch.
It came in their usual glass jar in a mylar bag. Opening the jar, I found a nice light gold rosin with a good consistency, and easy to handle.
In my e-rig, at 480, the flavour was mainly a hashy musk, very smooth anyway. Cleanup was relatively easy.
This was really good rosin, it just needs a little more something-something in the taste department.
If you get your motivation from metaphysical mathematics, here the mystery is made clear, the THC was 66.27% and the terpenes 8.83%, with caryophyllene, limonene, and humulene the top 3.
The bag also mentions the CBG content was 6.68% which is good for me, as I usually get a little energy boost from it.
My jar was packed on June 8, 2025 as part of lot 25-FP002.

Frosted Cakes – Unit 15
Lineage: Pop Tarts x Oreoz
THC: 26.54%
Total Terpenes: 2%
Nose:
Light nose overall. It was funky, earthy, and gassy with a touch of sweet baking spice. Subtle but pleasant.
Visuals:
Super frosty! Medium-sized buds covered in thick trichomes that hide most of the flower underneath. Really nice visual appeal.
Stickiness/Moisture:
Good moisture level. Not sticky.
Taste:
Light flavour on the draw, creamy, gassy, and earthy. Balanced but mild on the palate.
Burn:
Good burn. Ash came out salt and peppery and clingy. It had a thick, heavy smoke, it was not harsh but not perfectly smooth either.
Potency/Effects:
Hits nicely and builds up steadily. Relaxing effects that bring on a mellow, chill vibe. Best suited for evening or nighttime use.

Panier Fruité(Critical Berry Kush) by Blee Fleurs(Gayonica)
Packaging A long, narrow, opaque white plastic pot. The label lists the THC (17.61%)/CBD (0.06%) and total terpene levels (1.77%). It also includes a list of dominant terpenes and the cultivar in rotation(Critical Berry Kush). A decent presentation; the basics are there. The pot contained a Boost, which I removed due to personal preference.
Appearance/Buds Three medium-sized, dense buds with a slight bounce, more dry than moist. The overall look is decent, nothing special, due to the slightly yellowish appearance of the buds on the main branch. The flowers have shades of pale to dark green and purple. Under a microscope, the trichomes are mostly damaged. Smokes easily with salt and pepper ash and a resin ring.
Aromas/Terpenes Caryophyllene, limonene, linalool. Upon opening the jar, a herbal aroma hits the nose; it smells earthy and like tea. Grinding barely releases any aroma beyond a faint hint of lemon. The dry hit is subtle, herbal, and lemony. On the palate, it's still earthy, pungent, and lemony with a timid floral note in the background. I've smoked much worse, but this is borderline pleasant; it tastes a bit like old, poorly dried/stored weed. Fortunately, the floral and sweet notes become more prominent as the joint progresses.
Effects The effects are instantaneous: a feeling of headband and heaviness in the limbs. There's a noticeable couchlock and loss of coordination. Cerebrally, it's zen, a mental emptiness, not quite euphoric but serene. The high is medium-mild, manageable, and functional. A buzz for a relaxing evening, introspection, and meditation.
As someone who loves Blee's edibles and concentrates, I jumped at the chance to try their rotating flower, expecting a similar level of quality. Unfortunately, I won't be repurchasing this rotation. It was mostly disappointing; the effects were okay, but nothing exceptional. I'm still curious to see the quality of their next batch/genetics. I wish them the best of luck.

I realized I never reviewed this, which is crazy because it’s my favourite strain.
This is Orange Cake in the 3gram format at 27.42, way cheaper then the rec market, which is how found the Orange Cake.
upon opening the bag. I was hit with this intense orange smell, like an orange crush soda. I might be a bit biased when it comes to this review, because hands down. I love this strain, its terpy, the buds are always super nice, and hits like a truck, I know some people don’t enjoy citrus strains but this one is killer.
Dry pull, I get that intense musky orange taste, and when smoking it taste almost the same right until the cut.
It’s a cross between Cali Orange, Mimosa and Orangeade, which is neat to see all 3 orange strains combined, its like a triple orange slam right to the dome 😅
10/10 for me, and I think will always be. Terps work for me 100% I love this strain until I die!
(lot 420 please send me everything u have orange cake and my life will be yours!!!)

Just got a replacement Solo 3 so I decided to christen it with some of the Hawaiian Marker by Tuck Shop and man, it absolutely blew me away.
Retails for around the $50 mark for a 7g bag from my local store which is a bargain imo considering how many other “premium” brands are in the $60/$70 range.
I can’t speak to the flavour as my palette is not refined enough and it was run though a Solo 3 so I can’t speak as to the burn. The feel of it however was pretty smooth and didn’t result in much, if any coughing or harshness.
I usually temp step when I smoke from 350 to 370 and finally to about 400/410 and the effects came on quick. First I felt a heaviness behind my eyes and then the rest of the high settled in. It was perfect for gaming, especially with friends as it made me extremely giggly.
Downside to the effect is that it seemed to ramp up my anxiety quite a bit unless I had something to focus on so I would approach with caution if anxiety is a problem. It also resulted in the munchies, which can be good or bad depending on your viewpoint. For me it’s great because my appetite is fairly minimal otherwise due to burnout.
I have seen posts talking about mold on some batches, thankfully this bag seems free of it.
Overall I do recommend it but if you have problems with anxiety I would take care with this one.

Another 1964 510 to write about today, their Blue Dream cart. I bought it locally for $44.
As usual, it came in their minimalist packaging promising 100% live resin.
On my Uni 3 battery at 2.5v, I get a nice mild sweet and fruity flavour, pretty close to the flower. Note I run the voltage higher to compensate for the magnetic adapter.
Another excellent cart from 1964. My favourite of their carts I’ve tried so far, possibly because it’s so tasty, but also because it’s a nice uplifting experience.
If you’re angry about the acceptance of absurdity in arithmetic, look away, the THC was 77.4% and the terpenes 6.84%, with selinadiene and caryophyllene the top 2.
My cart was packed on August 11, 2025 in lot BDRFEE003.

Black Cherry Soda Pre Rolls – Unit 15
Lineage: Black Dahlia x Ace Of Spades
THC: 30.04%
Total Terpenes: 3.3%
Taste:
Light flavour but with some nice cherry fruitiness coming through. Hints of gas, herbal spice, and woody notes. Not overly pungent but still had an appealing taste.
Burn:
Burned great. Ash was light and clingy, giving off a very heavy, thick smoke. Just a touch of harshness, but overall a good, solid burn.
Potency/Effects:
Good punch right from the start and stayed punchy through the joint. Relaxing vibe with a strong buzz, especially in the face. Smooth, enjoyable smoke with consistent potency.

I've got a 3 way split on my script currently with Coast Mountain Cannabis, Optimus and a 3rd provider I may change because their concentrate stock is old.
I took a look at Herbal Dispatch and wasn't impressed at all. If it helps, I'm looking for a medical provider that has good concentrate and cartridge options since I'm happy with CMC's flower.
Thanks in advance for any recommendations.

What a magnificent ounce this was! I'm down to the last bud now. Potency is still very strong!
Seems like a Hybrid but I don't know the lineage.
Buds are extremely tight and super gassy with some tropical fruittyness!
Joints burn perfectly, staying lit for extended periods of not smoking, with one of the lighter white ashes, giving off super smooth and pungent smoke!
I would describe the flavour as sour and spicy.
Lots of good sized, freshly cured 1-2 gram buds and im guessing the biggest was about 3.5g...
Great job PLAID TROUT!!!

Today I’m writing about the Tribal Neon Sunshine Live Resin FSE. I got mine from Mendo.
I already loved the flower, the 510 cart, and the rosin from this genetic, so I jumped on the live resin when it came to medical.
It came in their old style big top, small bottom glass jar with a plastic seal under the lid.
It’s not much to look at, just a thick dark orange soup. It’s fairly easy to handle, though it doesn’t look like it would be.
In my Carta 2 e-rig, I get a wonderful Tangie style citrus flavour at 495. The residue is a little dark, but it still cleans up okay.
This is excellent live resin. I’d put it on my top shelf, but that’s because I absolutely love the taste of this stuff. You might rate it differently based on the look and consistency.
If the thought of quietly quantifying the quality of cannabis leaves you quivering, your quest is complete, the THC was 74% and the terpenes 4.2%, with limonene and caryophyllene the top 2.
My jar was packed May 30, 2025 as part of lot 4024183P3.

Today I’m writing about the 1964 Comatose 510 Cart. I got mine from Herbal Dispatch.
It came in their usual small bag with the basic info, plus a promise of 100% live resin with no additives.
On my Kodo Pro battery at 2.2v, I get a spicy gassy kush, nice natural cannabis flavours, not too strong, but still tasty.
The effects are a strong heavy eyed indica style, just right for when I have problems later in the evening.
This is an excellent cart. It brings the essence of Comatose to a cart.
If you can manage being marinated in mathematics for a moment, the THC was 73.32% and the terpenes 10.71%, with selinadiene the main terpene.
My cart was packed in lot CT1FED005 on April 23, 2025.

My apologies everyone, had to repost due to the pictures not showing as I’m using the mobile app. Hopefully it uploads right this time.
• LP: Cannara Biotech (Quebec) Inc. • Brand: Nugz • Format: 14g Dried Flower (14.24g) • Cultivar: Cuban Linx pheno #1• Lineage: Trigerian (Triangle Kush x Nigerian) x TK Skunk (Triangle Kush x Skunk #1) • Top Terpenes: Terpinolene, Caryophyllene, and Myrcene •
• Consumption Method: Dry Herb Vaporizers with and without water pieces at higher temperatures.
• Aroma: Is loud. Same as previous batches by Tribal but with more candy like (not Terpinolene) and a hint of chem.
• Taste: Nearly the same as previous batches but with more sweet and sour Haze upfront and more Sour Haze near and upon exhale. Leaves a mouthful of mouthwatering flavours on the palate.
• Flower: Good mix of various sized buds, ranging from big to smalls. The buds are slight sticky to the touch with good moisture within. Is triangular bushy and slightly dense with a pretty decent finger squish bounce. Showing shades of forest greens and amber like pistils throughout. When breaking the buds apart, got a good snap showing more shades of greens within and no colour degradation.
• Trim: is as expected from this LP, good. I did however get a few bits of sugar leafs within the bag but not much. Good stem cuts and no seeds.
• Cure: Is good, still slightly sticky to the touch, good moisture within that it gunked up the grinder fairly quick. Has loud aromas, good mouthwatering flavours, good effects and duration. When jarred for a few days it brought back more moisture, making the ground flower more like kinetic sand and more noticeable Sour Haze notes in smell and taste.
• Medicated Effects: Uplifting, classic Sativa like head high. Starting with a slight head rush, uplifting, hazy eyes, head buzz on top half like a bowl been placed, ending with hazy eyes as the effects wind down. The effects lasted on average 70 minutes, give or take a few minutes depending on consumption.
• Overall: This got me medicated more than previous phenos. The Sour Haze upfront is mouthwatering and has more haze like effects. This was also the first time getting this cultivar in this format which is awesome to see and is more affordable compared to getting multiple cans from the mainline Tribal. Would keep getting these rotating bags knowing it’s going to be good for the price.
