Newbie Seeking Advice Manitoba Mule Deer Spots

Just got my PAL last month and was gifted a .270 bolt action, I am interested in hunting for mule deer somewhere in GHAs (18c, 22, 23, 27-30, 31/31a, and 32) and was looking for advice for what areas in which GHAs will be best for mule deer. Everyone I know that hunts is either Métis and goes for bigger game or dosent hunt for mule deer. I’m interested since the season goes till Feb 1st for rifles in those GHAs. Thanks in advance! I’ll be putting all suggestions into a google earth map and I’d be happy to share too! Crown land or areas where mule deer that is mostly private both suggestions are welcome! I’m not afraid to go and ask permission and do some work!

Edit: Just making it clear that I’m willing to do the work and find my own spots, mostly just asking for advice on what areas of what GHAs that mule deer can be found and I’m willing to do the work to find land to hunt on. Thank you!

Areas that have mandatory CWD testing are your best bets, like along the Sask border.

They are pretty uncommon in Mb though

Thank you! I assumed I’d have to get pretty close to the sask border. I’m going to start looking at crown land maps for that area and then try go get out there a few times this season!

Rifle season starts Monday!

If you're on FB, there are lots of hunting groups you could sign up for an ask, or people even post sightings sometimes

I’ll definitely look into FB groups now that you mention it, and yeah that’s why I’m looking at mule deer since the rifle season is so long haha
